Mr. 詹姆斯亚历克西斯 has been a scaffold builder and a scaffolding supervisor for more 超过30年. He is an NCCER certified Scaffold Builder and is an NCCER certified instructor for 脚手架 and CORE.

Program Information

NCCER CORE covering: basic safety, construction site orientation, construction math, hand tools, power tools, construction drawings, basic rigging, communication skills, employability skills and material handling.

NCCER Carpentry Level 1 covering:

  • Introduction to the Trade - Introduces the scaffolding program, describes the duties of a scaffolder, and identifies scaffold types and scaffolding terms.
  • 贸易安全 - Provides a comprehensive overview of the safety regulations and guidelines in the scaffolding industry.
  • Trade Tools and Equipment - Covers the safe use and applications of hand and power tools used in the trade.
  • 贸易的数学 - Explains and gives examples of math calculations of scaffold loads, including area loads, concentrated loads, live loads, cantilevered loads, and wind loads.
  • 支持支架 - Identifies the equipment used with supported scaffolds. 描述了 procedures for erecting supported scaffolds.
  • 移动脚手架 - Identifies the different types of powered and manually propelled mobile scaffolds and describes their erection and operation.
  • Suspension Scaffolds - Identifies the types of equipment used with suspension scaffolds. 描述了 rigging of suspension scaffolds.

Schedule and Location

  • This class is three weeks long for a total of 120 contact hours of training.
  • Classes meet from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday.
  • Classes will meet on the Associated Builders & Contractors of Southeast Texas campus located at 2700 N Twin City Hwy, Nederland, TX 77627.

  • 学费 for the class is $1,308. All training supplies will be provided.
  • 学费 assistance may be available through Texas 劳动力 or through the Port Arthur Economic 发展 Cooperation. Please call the 大学 for further information.

毕业 Requirements

学生s must complete each course during the session in which they are enrolled. No partial credit will be awarded. 学生s falling below 70% of attendance will be automatically dropped from the course. 学生s must maintain a grade average in excess of 70 in order to pass the course. Only students who successfully pass the course will be awarded NCCER Certification.

Is the Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination required for this course?

No, because of the length of the course, the Texas Department of State Health 服务 does not require that students provide proof of a bacterial meningitis vaccination.
